Work-from-home job offer

Fake work-from-home listings ask for a registration fee, Aadhaar copies, or a test payout before any work starts.

Warning signs

  1. 01

The salary is high and the interview is only a Telegram or WhatsApp chat.

  2. 02

They ask for a registration fee, a “laptop kit”, or a refundable deposit before day one.

  3. 03

They want Aadhaar, PAN, or a cancelled cheque before any company name checks out.

  4. 04

A small test payment is sent so you will trust the next, larger request.

  5. 05

The company website is new, or the offer letter logo does not match the real firm.

A real employer does not charge you to start work or to “unlock” your first salary.
